The eartag is composed by two pieces (male, female) made of a high flexibility thermoplastic unless the end of the male, made of brass, with the following characteristics:

The Electronic Eartag has a polyurethane body designed to withstand the harshest atmospheric conditions. It is water, alcohol, oil and ammonia resistant. Also, it is extremely durable and can withstand any type of physical punishment.

Body: The body of the eartag contains the transponder and in protected from all external agents. It was developed to comply with the ISO 9001: 2000 standards. The female eartags specifically are manufactured with different materials to improve the quality.

The tamperproof cap : It is manufactured with a really hard material for excellent resistance so it cannot be tampered.

The Star : the star design for the female eartag was created to provide the required flexibility and resistance. The star flaps return to their original position avoiding the release of the male piece. Once the male piece has been introduced, it can withstand 40 kg of pull force. If more force, is applied male piece will break, but the very tip will remain inside the female ear tag rendering the ear tag 100% unusable.

Ruminal Bolus

The body of the Ruminal Bolus is made of specific high density material. An electronic identifier is inside the Ruminal Bolus, sealed by no toxic material which is resistant to the digestive actions of the ruminants. The Ruminal bolus do not has metallic elements to avoid wrong diagnostics signs, and to guaranty reading security.

Body
The Body is made of a cylindrical or oval piece of rounded edge, manufactured with a specific high density material. The tranponder is lodged inside the body. One the Bolus is applicated, his high density avoid its lost. The body of Ruminal Bolus hasn’t got any magnetic or metallic elements.
